After School Programs: Care
Fresno has been running after-school programs since its inception in
1995. We believe that if we can begin working with kids at a young age, we have the most opportunity to make a life long impact. We work specifically with kids grades
Kindergarten through 6th who are not involved with sports or other
school-based after school activities. These
programs meet either in Care Fresno staff apartments, apartment complex
community rooms or other spaces donated by churches. Our
after-school programs incorporate healthy snacks, tutoring/homework
help, arts/crafts, sports and other enrichments programs. A typical schedule at a Care Fresno after-school program is as follows:
3:00-3:15 - Students arrive at the program ave healthy snacks provided by Fresno Economics Opportunity Commission.
3:15-4:15 - Care Fresno staff and volunteers help students with homework and reading. 4:15-5:00 - Students engage in arts & crafts, sports or other enrichments activity. |
