Care Fresno's mentoring program is designed to connect youth from Care Fresno neighborhoods to caring and qualified mentors. Mentors and Mentees meet 4 hours per month for a year to foster development in:
- Education & Career Path
- Healthy Relationships
- Personal Development
Mentoring is shown to have many benefits for a child or teen's current and future school, career, personal, relational, and spiritual choices. All youth ages 7 - 18 who are enrolled in Care Fresno programs are eligible to be mentored.
This program has been organically developing over recent years and we have seen a great impact made and youth's lives changed. As the need for youth prevention and interventions in the city of Fresno increases, we recognize how important mentorship is in the lives of the youth we serve.
