Care Fresno is a non-profit Christian organization focused on providing resources to under-resourced communities in Fresno. Originally the Fresno Police Department and faith-based leaders came together to form this organization in order to decrease crime in Fresno County in 1995.
Who is Care Fresno?
Today this message remains more true than ever as we are still focusing our efforts on providing safe and healthy spaces for children in under-resourced communities in fresno county.
We do this by providing an After-School Programs in 6 different neighborhoods throughout Fresno. Our intention and goals are to provide safe and positive spaces for kids to come and hang out with their peers and friends in the neighborhood, have a healthy snack, get academic support; reading and math, learn about the word of God, and build long-lasting and positive relationships with role models who work and volunteer with the organization. These role models who are site leads live in the community full time, include college and high school student volunteers who want to contribute to the betterment of the community. other volunteers include those from multiple age ranges who just want to give back. Through the after-school program, and mentoring, we work to leave a positive impact on the students who join so that in return they too become positive role models in thier future ENDEAVORS.
