Apprentices

Picture
Becoming an Apprentices is a long term volunteer position that last one full academic school year (August-August). We ask those who are apprentices first become a volunteer to become more familiar with the organization and the kids at the site they will be located at. This position is 6-12 hours a week position with the opportunity to travel to the site and be a commuter or live on-site at one of our seven locations. Those who are residents at the site are expected to dedicate 10 hours at minimum a week to program participating and assisting in ASP and Bible Study. Those who are commuters are expected to dedicate 6 hours a week at minimum to their dedicated site. For more information check out our Mission Care Apprentice Description below.

Trainings

Don't worry! Although all this information seems like a lot and may be overwhelming those who are interested are backed by a large support system.

Mission Care Monday's allow all mentors, site leads, apprentices and some staff members, get together to learn more about the program, more about the Bible, and all responsibilities and tasks of that month. These trainings are usually centered around the curriculum of the month and connect to the Bible Study sessions. These are mandatory trainings that take place a few times a month with incredible information to help a leader grow while learning how to engage and interact with children and families in the organization. This is all a group effort that is lead by leaders who have been apart of this organization for a number of years and are ready to help you grow and become a leader in the community.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus"
Philippians 4:6-7
